What To Expect

Torre Cala en Basset

The tower was built in 1583 as part of the defensive system of towers that were built between the 16th and 18th centuries to protect Mallorca from pirate attacks that hit the coasts of the Mediterranean Sea.

Ruina La Trapa

The monastery of La Trapa was founded in 1810, the Trappist community, escaping from the French Revolution, occupied the area for 14 years.

Since then it has changed owners several times, the monastery became a possession. As of the 20th century, possession was abandoned and the houses began to fall into ruin.

After a long period and great effort, with the help of the population (charities, auctions...) in 1980 the GOB acquired La Trapa.
