What To Expect

Come and visit one of the most famous monuments of the Mediterranean, Mallorca Cathedral. Built in the 13th century, its central nave is approximately 44 metres high, making it one of the tallest cathedrals in Europe.

The cathedral of Palma stands on the site of the mosque which stood opposite the Royal Palace of La Almudaina during the Moorish occupation of Mallorca.

Enter the Cathedral and you’ll understand why many call it the ‘Cathedral of Light’. In total, there are 61 stained-glass windows in La Seu - the most spectacular being the central rose window, which harnesses the morning sun, flooding the building with beams of coloured light.

Important:
From November to March the entrance is from Plaça de la Seu, through the Almoina building
From April to October the entrance is from Portal del Mirador

A well organised audio book style easy to follow guide around the cathedral. Worth the €9 entry and €4 for audio book with historical fact regarding the cathedral.

Eravamo curiosi, in effetti è stata una bella visita.
E bello contribuire per tenere aperti certi luoghi.
Bello anche il centro storico e le vie dello shopping.
