What To Expect

Soller
Sóller, the commercial and cultural center of the Sierra, welcomes us to the main square of Sóller, which is perfect for sitting on a terrace and looking at the church of San Bartolomé and the Banco de Sóller building. Both constructions are a modernist work by the architect Joan Rubió, a disciple of Gaudí, who also signed the façade of the church, with a rose window carved in stone. Known as the cradle of modernism, Sóller keeps an extensive history between its streets and buildings. The old colonial-style manor houses and palaces tell us how in the 19th and 20th centuries, Majorcan merchants made their fortunes trading oranges in France and how King Alfonso XIII proclaimed Sóller the city and commercial and cultural center of the area.

Port de Soller
Puerto de Sóller, a natural port surrounded by mountains that offers all kinds of activities and places of interest, as well as wonderful views. The Port of Sóller has a rich maritime history due to its perfect location in the Sierra de Tramuntana, which made it the commercial center of the area and a treasure coveted by former pirates and smugglers.

A great experience and a must!

A couple of people recommend that we take the train to Soller and we were so glad we did. It was wonderful. The train moves slowly enough that you get to enjoy the landscape of Mallorca on your way to Soller. In Soller there are plenty of shops and restaurants. There are even exhibitions of Picasso and Miro in the Soller train station.

We then took the tram down to the Port of Soller and the port was very beautiful and a great place to have lunch.

I would recommend that anyone who comes to Mallorca do this tour.
Ok and great way to see the countryside..

Good experience and a good way to see the countryside from Palma to Soller.
Recommend buying the tickets online though to save queuing, and leave plenty of time to spend time in Soller and fit in with the local tram times
Glad we did it but would not bother to do again.
A good trip

The missus and I did the trip on the boat, tram and train. It was €75 each.
It was a lovely trip seeing some great sights. The vintage train and tram were very nice indeed. The boat trip part was also good but the other two modes of transport were better.
I have to knock off a star for the length of time available at Sòller, literally half an hour. Just enough to grab a quick drink and none to see a really pretty little town. There was a visit to a leather shop, I mean... why? I literally just sat there waiting to get back on the coach. Half an hour wasted there plus the coach picked us up at 9:20 when we were told 8 50. Here is the extra Time required to make it less rushed although I accept it isn't that easy when trying to join up different timetables.
A whistle stop tour with no time to enjoy lovations

Beautiful scenery and resorts but not enough time only 30 minutes in each and no time for shopping or coffee. It’s a shame as no income for the resort’s either.
A bit short changed

We did the tour on 7th July as we wanted to see the port and town of Soller. Cost 42 Euros per person.
Currently, you need a face mask on the coach, tram and train.
The trip was OK and we were picked up from Santa Ponsa at about 8.45am. We were then taken to Palma following several pick ups from Magaluf and Palma Nova where people transferred to other coaches for different trips. Our coach then proceeded to Puerto de Soller but unfortunately, we only had about 15 mins before we were put on the tram up to Soller. On alighting the tram, we were then given 45 mins in Soller before we had to meet back up to get on the train.
The train then took us to a station outside Palma where we were picked up by a coach which took us back to Santa Ponsa via Palma Nova and Magaluf.
Whilst the tour was OK and a guide provided, we wanted more time in both the Port and town and believe more time should be provided to see the sights and maybe enjoy a drink or lunch.
Due to this, I probably wouldn't recommend this particular trip unless you feel that the time constraints are acceptable.
